Reports from late 2024 indicated that as the film's scope and scale expanded, it began to align more with Anand’s vision than Ghosh's. The parting was described as amicable, with Ghosh reportedly suggesting that Anand himself direct to best achieve the grand scale he and Shah Rukh Khan envisioned for the project.
