on August 4, 2026, with a weekly flight every Tuesday, followed by a new route to Abu Dhabi starting August 7, 2026, flying each Friday. Previously, passengers from the region had to rely on connecting flights via major hubs like Delhi or Kolkata. This expansion not only opens up direct travel to two of West Asia's biggest commercial and tourism centres but also solidifies Guwahati's position as an emerging international gateway for Southeast Asia, with existing connections to Singapore, Thailand, and Bhutan.
