The New In-Demand Skillsets
The generalist MBA is no longer the default ticket into a high-growth GCC career. Instead, companies are hunting for specialists in cutting-edge domains. The fastest-growing roles include AI specialists, data scientists, machine learning engineers, cybersecurity experts, and cloud architects. The demand is so intense that the talent gap for some of these roles is estimated to be 40% or higher. Beyond core tech, even business and operations roles are transforming, requiring specialized skills in areas like business analytics and strategic project management. This has led to a fragmented salary market where niche skills can command significantly higher pay, with premiums for AI/ML and cybersecurity engineers reaching over 20%, far outpacing the average salary hike.
