Why Are These Trains Being Diverted?
The diversions are necessary to facilitate major yard remodelling and non-interlocking work at Bina and Agasod stations. According to West Central Railway, these efforts are part of a crucial project to connect the third railway line between Bina station and Agasod station.
This infrastructure upgrade is scheduled in phases from early September through mid-October 2026. While the temporary changes may cause inconvenience, railway authorities have stated that the upgraded infrastructure will significantly improve operational efficiency, handle increasing rail traffic, and enhance the reliability and punctuality of train services in the long run.
Rewa and Jabalpur Services on New Paths
Several key services connecting Madhya Pradesh will be impacted. Train No. 12185, the Rewa-Rani Kamalapati Rewanchal Express, will be diverted to run via Katni, Jabalpur, and Itarsi Junction for journeys between October 8 and 14. Its return service, Train No. 12186, will take the same alternate route during this period. Additionally, the Train No. 11703 Rewa-Dr. Ambedkar Nagar Tri-Weekly Express is scheduled for diversion on October 8, 11, and 13. It will travel through Bina Malkhedi, Mahadevkhedi, Guna, Ruthiyai, and Maksi. The corresponding return train, No. 11704, will use this diverted route on October 9, 12, and 14.
Bhopal-Jodhpur and Veraval-Jabalpur Route Changes
Passengers travelling between Bhopal and Jodhpur should take note of significant changes. Train No. 14814 (Bhopal-Jodhpur) will run via Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Maksi, Nagda, and Kota for a two-week period from October 1 to 15. The return train, No. 14813 (Jodhpur-Bhopal), will follow this diverted path from October 1 to 14. Similarly, the Veraval-Jabalpur corridor will see adjustments. Train No. 11465 (Veraval-Jabalpur) will be rerouted through Bhopal and Itarsi on October 10 and 12, while Train No. 11466 (Jabalpur-Veraval) will use this diversion on October 9 and 12.
Adjustments for Dhanbad and Chopan Express Trains
Travellers on the Bhopal-Dhanbad and Bhopal-Chopan routes will also face diversions. Train No. 11631, the Bhopal-Dhanbad Tri-Weekly Express, will operate via Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni South, and New Katni Junction on October 9, 12, and 15. Its counterpart, Train No. 11632 from Dhanbad to Bhopal, will use the same altered route on the same dates. The weekly services, Train No. 11633 (Bhopal-Chopan) and Train No. 11634 (Chopan-Bhopal), are also diverted via the Itarsi-Jabalpur-Katni South route on October 11 and 12, respectively.
Bhopal-Singrauli Express Diversion Details
Another service affected by the ongoing works is the Bhopal-Singrauli Tri-Weekly Express. Train No. 22165 is scheduled to be diverted via Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni South, and New Katni Junction. This change will be in effect for journeys commencing on October 10, 13, and 14. Passengers who have booked tickets on this train for these specific dates are advised to re-check the schedule and expected arrival times at their destinations, as the altered route may lead to changes in the journey duration.
