This requires a potent mix of deep technical knowledge and sharp business acumen.
The Urgent Need for Upskilling
This transformation underscores a critical need for the existing workforce to adapt. Industry bodies like NASSCOM and major IT firms are heavily invested in upskilling and reskilling programs to bridge the talent gap. The demand for professionals skilled in AI, machine learning, and data science far outstrips the current supply. Professionals with expertise in AI development, MLOps (Machine Learning Operations), and cybersecurity are commanding significant salary premiums. The message from the industry is clear: continuous learning is no longer optional.
