Popularised by longevity experts like Dr. Peter Attia, Zone 2 training is designed to be performed for longer durations—think 45 minutes or more—and focuses on building a robust aerobic base. The primary goal isn't to feel exhausted, but to train your body's energy systems to become more efficient.
The Science of Going Slower
The benefits of Zone 2 training happen at a cellular level. This intensity stimulates the growth and efficiency of your mitochondria, the powerhouses of your cells.
