Confirming Visa-Free Travel
Before you pack your bags, it's crucial to know the latest rules. As of September 2026, two of the most popular and accessible destinations for Indian travellers are Malaysia and Thailand. Malaysia offers visa-free entry for up to 30 days until the end
of 2026. Travellers simply need to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online before arrival. Thailand also provides visa-free entry for Indians, though the permitted stay is 30 days, effective from September 15, 2026. While Indonesia is a fantastic destination, it currently requires a Visa on Arrival (VoA) or an e-VoA for Indian citizens, so it doesn't quite fit the 'truly visa-free' criteria for this guide.
