Studies on TRE have shown benefits including modest weight loss, improved blood sugar control, and reductions in body fat, even without strict calorie counting. The key is consistency. By establishing a regular eating window, you help synchronise your internal clocks, which can lead to better sleep, improved energy levels, and more effective metabolic function.
Simple Steps to Align Your Meals
Adopting a circadian-aligned eating pattern doesn't require a complete overhaul of your life. Small, consistent changes can make a big difference. Start by aiming to finish your last meal at least two to three hours before you go to bed. Try to make breakfast or lunch your largest meal of the day, when your metabolism is most active. If you can, establish a consistent eating window that works for your schedule, for example, eating between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Even shifting your dinner time earlier by 30 minutes can be a great first step.
