Air India has announced a new seasonal direct flight connecting Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport with Toronto Pearson International Airport. This three-times-a-week service is scheduled to operate from October 25, 2026, to March
26, 2027, making Air India the only carrier offering a non-stop connection between the two cities during the winter season. Previously, travellers had to contend with layovers in Europe or the Middle East. The new route, operated by an upgraded Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, will add nearly 2,000 seats each week and features first class, business, and economy cabins, along with onboard WiFi. Flights are scheduled to depart Mumbai on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
