The word “instantly” in the headline isn’t about instantly solving education, but about the power of immediate feedback. When a student struggles with a maths problem, an AI tutor doesn't just mark it wrong. It can analyse the mistake to identify the core misunderstanding. Did they misapply a formula? Or is the gap in a more fundamental concept from a previous chapter? The AI can then provide a targeted explanation, a simpler practice problem, or a video tutorial right at that moment of need. This creates a continuous, adaptive learning loop. The system gets smarter about the student with every interaction, curating a unique curriculum that speeds up when the student is cruising and slows down to offer support when they’re stuck. This prevents small gaps in understanding from snowballing into major learning obstacles down the line.

There are also crucial questions of cost and equity.
