While AI is handling the routine queries, the role for humans is shifting toward managing more complex, emotionally charged, or unusual customer problems that require genuine empathy and critical thinking.

While fears of mass job losses are common, many experts believe the more immediate impact is job augmentation—where AI acts as a tool to help humans. Similarly, while some IT jobs have been shed, the broader tech sector in India has continued to add jobs, many of which are AI-related. The key is that AI is replacing specific tasks, not entire jobs. This frees up professionals to focus on parts of their work that require strategic thinking, creativity, and complex problem-solving—skills that AI currently cannot replicate.
