For the best, unobstructed views and the ability to feel the spray of waterfalls, many travellers prefer the non-AC Sleeper or sitting by the open doors (with caution). Pack light, quick-drying clothes and waterproof bags for your electronics and documents. Good-grip footwear is also essential, as station platforms can be slippery. After the train passes the main falls, you can often get a second, more distant view from the right side as the tracks curve. While Dudhsagar is the main event, the entire journey through the Braganza Ghats section is dotted with smaller, seasonal waterfalls that gush down the mountainsides, creating a constantly changing, picturesque backdrop. Keep your eyes peeled after the train passes stations like Kulem to be fully prepared for the visual treat.
