busy Madurai-Chennai corridor, which has often been characterized by high fares due to limited competition. The introduction of Air India Express's larger, 180-seater aircraft is expected to increase seat availability and introduce more competitive pricing, ending the days of exorbitant last-minute ticket costs during peak seasons. This move replaces a previous one-stop service, signalling a renewed focus by major carriers on Madurai as a point-to-point destination rather than just a secondary city.
Ending the Hub-Hopping Hassle
