But they often lack the structured path, mentorship, and portfolio-building projects that paid courses provide, which are crucial for landing a job. A smart approach is the hybrid model: use free resources to build a foundation before investing in a paid course for structure and accountability.

A higher fee doesn't automatically guarantee a better outcome. The most important question is not 'How much does it cost?' but 'What is the return on this investment?'. A course with a higher fee but with proven placement support and a curriculum aligned with current job descriptions often provides a much better ROI than a cheaper, purely theoretical one. Red Flags to Watch For
The booming demand for AI skills has also led to a rise in low-quality courses with aggressive marketing. Be wary of programs that offer a "100% placement guarantee" without providing transparent data on hiring partners and past placements. Vague curriculum details are another major red flag. If a course advertises 'Generative AI' but can't specify whether it means basic prompt writing or building complex applications, proceed with caution. Finally, look for evidence of practical application. The market rewards what you can build, not just the certificates you collect. A course that prioritises theoretical knowledge over hands-on, deployed projects may leave you with a certificate but without the job-ready skills that employers are actually looking for.
