It's incredibly easy to care for and adapts well to indoor conditions. The monsoon is its growing season, where high humidity encourages its lush, heart-shaped leaves to flourish. You can let it trail from a hanging basket or train it to climb a wall. Like the Snake Plant, it’s susceptible to overwatering. In the damp monsoon weather, check that the top two inches of soil are dry before giving it a drink. It's a versatile plant that does well in bright, indirect light but can also manage in lower-light areas of your home.
The Tough-as-Nails ZZ Plant
The ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) is the epitome of a low-maintenance plant. With its glossy, dark green leaves, it looks elegant and requires very little attention to thrive. This makes it an ideal choice for busy people or those who often forget to water their plants. The ZZ Plant is particularly well-suited for the monsoon season because it is exceptionally drought-tolerant and hates being overwatered. Since the soil will take longer to dry in the humid climate, you might only need to water it once every three to four weeks. The Graceful Peace Lily

It's known for its elegant white blooms that stand out against its dark green leaves. The Peace Lily loves the high humidity of the monsoon, which can even encourage it to flower more profusely. It's also a great natural air purifier that helps absorb excess moisture from the air, combating that damp feeling inside the home. It prefers shaded spots away from direct sunlight. The plant will tell you when it's thirsty; its leaves will start to droop slightly. Just wait for the top soil to feel dry before watering to keep it healthy.
The Prolific Spider Plant
The Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) is a charming and easy-to-grow plant, recognisable by its arching leaves and the little baby plantlets (spiderettes) that dangle from the main plant. These can be easily repotted to create new plants. Spider Plants are very forgiving and adapt well to a range of conditions. During the rainy season, they enjoy the ambient moisture but require good air circulation. They are perfect for hanging baskets, especially in balconies or near windows, where their trailing spiderettes can be shown off. Water moderately, allowing the soil to dry out a bit between waterings. Its ability to tolerate different light levels makes it a versatile addition to any apartment.
