Safety And Preparation
While paragliding is an exhilarating sport, safety should always be the top priority. It is crucial to choose a reputable, certified operator with experienced and licensed pilots. Good operators will use well-maintained equipment, including EN-rated gliders, harnesses, and reserve parachutes, and will always conduct pre-flight briefings. Weather plays a critical role; flights should only occur in suitable conditions with manageable wind speeds. Reputable companies will not hesitate to postpone or cancel a flight if the weather seems unsafe. For your part, listen carefully to your pilot's instructions, especially for take-off and landing, wear comfortable clothing, and be sure to disclose any relevant health conditions beforehand.
