Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a new 7-night, 8-day international tour named “Wonders of Vietnam & Cambodia” departing from Chennai. Scheduled to run from November 17 to November 25, 2026, the package is designed
to offer a comprehensive cultural and scenic experience of two of the region's most captivating countries. This follows a similar package launched earlier from Bengaluru, now extending the opportunity to travellers based in and around the Tamil Nadu capital. The itinerary is packed with visits to UNESCO World Heritage sites, bustling cities, and serene natural wonders.
The Itinerary: From Da Nang to Angkor Wat
The journey begins with an overnight flight from Chennai International Airport to Da Nang, Vietnam. The first few days are spent exploring central Vietnam, with highlights including the Golden Bridge held by giant stone hands on Ba Na Hills, the historic Hoi An Ancient Town, and the Marble Mountains. From Da Nang, travellers will take a flight to Hanoi, the nation's capital. There, they will visit landmarks like the Temple of Literature and Hoan Kiem Lake before embarking on a memorable excursion to the world-famous Ha Long Bay. The tour includes an overnight cruise on the bay, allowing for exploration of its limestone islands and caves, with opportunities for kayaking or bamboo boating. On the sixth day, the group flies from Hanoi to Siem Reap, Cambodia, the gateway to the ancient wonders of the Khmer empire. The headline price of around ₹1.5 lakh is the starting point for this all-inclusive package. The cost varies based on the occupancy selected. For a single traveller (single occupancy), the price is ₹1,75,200. The most economical option is for triple occupancy at ₹1,51,250 per person, while the double occupancy rate is ₹1,53,750 per person. For families travelling with children, the cost for a child (aged 5 to 11) with an extra bed is ₹1,31,500, and for a child (aged 2 to 11) without a separate bed, the price is ₹1,15,600. These prices are inclusive of a 2% Tax Collected at Source (TCS).

IRCTC has designed this as a largely hassle-free package. The cost covers return airfare from Chennai in economy class, as well as two domestic flights within Vietnam. Accommodation is provided in 3-star hotels throughout the trip, including two nights in Da Nang, two in Hanoi, one night on the Ha Long Bay cruise, and two nights in Siem Reap. All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are included, as are all transfers and sightseeing tours in an air-conditioned deluxe coach.
