An All-Inclusive Southeast Asian Adventure
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced its 'Wonders of Vietnam & Cambodia' tour, a special 7-night, 8-day itinerary designed for travellers departing from Chennai. Following a similar launch from Bengaluru, this package
makes two of Southeast Asia's most captivating destinations more accessible. Scheduled from November 17 to 25, 2026, the tour is an all-inclusive affair, bundling flights, accommodation, meals, and guided tours into one price, allowing travellers to focus on the experience rather than the logistics.
From Vietnam's Bustle to Cambodia's Grandeur
The journey begins with an overnight flight from Chennai International Airport to Da Nang, Vietnam. The itinerary is packed with iconic sights. In Vietnam, travellers will explore the coastal city of Da Nang, visiting the Marble Mountains and the famous Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills. The tour also includes a trip to the charming, lantern-lit ancient town of Hoi An. From there, guests will fly to the capital, Hanoi, to see the Temple of Literature and Hoan Kiem Lake, followed by an unforgettable cruise on the emerald waters of Ha Long Bay. The final leg of the adventure takes you to Siem Reap in Cambodia, the gateway to the magnificent Angkor Wat temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary
The 8-day tour is structured to maximize sightseeing and cultural immersion. The trip includes two nights in Da Nang, two nights in Hanoi, one night on a Ha Long Bay cruise, and two nights in Siem Reap. The Vietnam portion covers Da Nang's Dragon Bridge and Han River waterfront before moving to Hanoi's Old Quarter. The highlight for many will be the overnight cruise on Ha Long Bay, which often includes activities like kayaking or exploring caves. After flying from Hanoi to Siem Reap, the final days are dedicated to exploring the sprawling, ancient marvels of Angkor Wat before flying back to Chennai via Singapore.
