Why Post-Monsoon is the Perfect Time

and photography. This season allows you to enjoy the beaches and outdoor activities without the intense summer heat or the disruptions of the monsoon.
The Route: National Highway 66
The main artery for this coastal adventure is National Highway 66 (NH-66). This road runs parallel to the coast, connecting key towns from Mangaluru in the south to Karwar in the north. The drive itself is a major part of the experience, offering spectacular views of the Arabian Sea on one side and the Western Ghats or serene backwaters on the other. The approximately 320-kilometre stretch within Karnataka is dotted with temples, beaches, and charming villages.
Stop 1: Mangaluru - The Gateway and Gastronomic Hub
Begin your journey in Mangaluru, a bustling port city that serves as the perfect introduction to coastal culture. Before you head north, explore its pristine beaches like Tannirbhavi and Panambur.
