This simple change helps your body prepare for rest, even if you’ve just come home from a late shift.

Implementing this strategy doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. Here are practical steps you can take: 1. Switch Your Bulbs: Replace bright, cool-white bulbs in your bedroom and living areas with warm-white or amber alternatives. Look for bulbs with a colour temperature of 2700K to 3000K, which emit a cosier, yellowish glow. 2. Dim the Lights: In the one to two hours before your intended bedtime, dim all the lights in your home. Better yet, try to put all screens away at least an hour before you plan to sleep.
