It's not just about feeling uncomfortable. High humidity can directly impact the architecture of your sleep. Ventilate and Circulate

On drier days, open windows on opposite sides of your home to create a cross-breeze and flush out moist, stagnant air. Harness Your Appliances
If fans and ventilation aren't enough, it might be time to call in reinforcements. A dehumidifier is a machine designed specifically to pull excess moisture from the air, making your room feel significantly more comfortable. For best results, aim for a humidity level of 45-50% while you sleep. Many modern units have quiet or sleep modes. An air conditioner also works to reduce humidity as part of its cooling process. Running your AC, even on a moderate setting, can make a huge difference in both temperature and stickiness.
Lifestyle Tweaks for Cooler Nights
A few adjustments to your evening routine can also promote better sleep in humid weather. Taking a cool or lukewarm shower before bed can help lower your core body temperature, signaling to your body that it's time to rest. Stay hydrated throughout the day, but try to limit large amounts of liquid right before bed to avoid night-time awakenings. Also, consider closing curtains or blinds during the day to block out the sun and prevent your room from heating up unnecessarily.
