Mumbai's BMC is taking over waste collection, promising streamlined services. Chandigarh faces challenges with cycle lane development due to track limitations. Additionally, Chandigarh's traffic police have identified 59 sites prone to waterlogging, addressing crucial infrastructure issues.
Legal and Security
The Defence Acquisition Council cleared procurements worth ₹67,000 crore for RPAs for 3 services. The Gujarat High Court granted bail in a multi-crore investment case, while the Supreme Court received a plea regarding the publication of 65 lakh deleted voters' details. Also, four drug peddlers were held, with 51.21 grams of heroin recovered.
Social and Community
PGI Chandigarh expanded its volunteer-driven Project Sarathi to include common citizens, showing a community focus. In Chandigarh, the Nada Road stretch in Nayagaon has been highlighted as a neglected area needing attention, focusing on civic engagement. Finally, the CM inspected the Sabarmati Ashram Redevelopment Project in Ahmedabad.
