Championing Women's Health
Kriti Sanon made history as the first Indian actress to speak at the World Health Summit 2025 in Berlin. Addressing a crucial topic, she passionately advocated for women's health and gender equality on a global stage. Serving as UNFPA India's Honorary Ambassador for Gender Equality, she emphasized the urgent need to prioritize women's health. During the high-level session, titled “Women’s Health – Global Wealth: Catalysing Returns on Bold Investments,” she highlighted that despite constituting nearly half the world’s population, women’s health often receives inadequate investment. She underscored a compelling statistic: every USD 300 million invested in women’s health can yield returns reaching USD 13 billion, representing a nine-fold increase, a powerful argument for increased funding and attention.
