Return From LA
Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has recently made his way back to Mumbai following an important trip to Los Angeles. His visit to the American city was centered
around the premiere of the teaser for his upcoming cinematic endeavor, 'Ramayana'. Upon his arrival back home on Wednesday evening, the actor was captured by paparazzi at the airport. Videos shared on social media platforms showed Ranbir interacting with the photographers, offering a friendly wave and greeting them as he headed towards his vehicle. His airport look was notably stylish, featuring an all-black ensemble that included a black tracksuit, a matching cap, and sunglasses, complemented by white sports shoes, projecting a cool and casual vibe.
Reflections On Role
During his time in Los Angeles alongside director Nitesh Tiwari, Ranbir Kapoor not only launched the teaser for 'Ramayana' but also shared his candid thoughts about portraying Lord Ram. He revealed that his initial response to being offered the part, approximately four years prior, was a firm 'no.' At that time, he felt he wasn't adequately prepared, either physically or in terms of his acting prowess, to do justice to such an iconic character. However, this perspective underwent a significant transformation after he became a father to his daughter, Raha. This personal milestone prompted him to re-evaluate his lifestyle. The actor expressed that the initial apprehension evolved into profound gratitude, recognizing the immense significance of such an opportunity at that juncture in his life. He described it as a period where he needed to initiate changes in his life and daily routines. Becoming a father for the first time, coupled with the serendipitous timing of playing Lord Rama, marked a pivotal turning point for him.
Star-Studded Cast
The forthcoming epic, 'Ramayana,' boasts an impressive ensemble cast beyond Ranbir Kapoor, who is set to embody Lord Ram. Sai Pallavi will grace the screen as Goddess Sita, while KGF fame Yash is slated to portray the formidable antagonist, Ravana. Adding to the formidable lineup, Sunny Deol and Ravie Dubey will be seen in the pivotal roles of Hanuman and Lakshman, respectively. The film also features Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh, who will take on the characters of Mandodri and Surpanakha. The extensive cast further includes veteran actor Arun Govil, alongside Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha, and Indira Krishnan, promising a rich and immersive cinematic experience.
Release Strategy
The ambitious project 'Ramayana' is being presented in multiple parts to do justice to its grand narrative. The first installment, 'Ramayana Part I,' is scheduled to hit theaters during the festive season of Diwali. Following this, audiences can anticipate the release of the second chapter, which is slated for a Diwali launch in 2027. This staggered release strategy indicates the filmmakers' commitment to delivering a comprehensive and detailed cinematic adaptation of the epic tale, allowing ample time for the visual storytelling and character development across its various segments.
