Getting Started
To begin receiving notifications, the first step is to locate and select the 'Settings' tab. Once inside, you'll find various options; select 'Notifications.'
Next, you'll likely see a message indicating no new notifications. Don't worry, we'll fix that. To receive alerts from a specific site, begin by clicking the green 'lock' icon situated next to the address bar. This action will open a popup displaying the website's listed settings. Ensure you select the 'ALLOW' option under the 'status' heading for the relevant site, enabling notifications.
Browser Settings Adjustments
To manage your notification preferences effectively, start by clicking the menu icon in your browser, typically represented by three vertical dots or lines. This action opens a menu with various options; select 'Settings.' Within the settings page, find and click on 'Privacy & Security' on the left side. Scroll down to the 'Permissions' section. Here, you'll find options related to notifications, where you can modify which sites can send you alerts. Ensure that the sites you wish to receive notifications from are enabled. Click the toggle to switch notifications 'on'.
Age and Gender Selection
Some websites might ask for demographic information such as age and gender to personalize your experience. When prompted, select your age range from the options provided, such as 'Under 18', '18 to 25', '26 to 35', '36 to 45', or '45 to 55', and '55+.' Next, choose your gender, with options including 'Male' and 'Female.' This information helps tailor the content you see, ensuring it's relevant to you. Once you have made your selections for age and gender, move on to the next steps.
Managing Notifications Blocking
If you've previously blocked notifications or wish to temporarily disable them, this section explains how to manage those settings. Within the notification settings, you may find options to block notifications for specific periods. These options can include 'Block for 8 hours,' 'Block for 12 hours,' or 'Block for 24 hours.' If you want to temporarily disable notifications, choose an option to block alerts for the appropriate time. To unblock the notifications, select 'Click it and Unblock the Notifications.' After making changes, click on the 'Save Changes' option.
