ScOpE at IIT
IIT Madras is launching a new admission program called ScOpE for students excelling in national and global Olympiads, starting from the academic year 2025-2026.
This program offers an alternative route outside the JEE Advanced framework, with two supernumerary seats per program. One seat is exclusively for female students, promoting inclusivity.
NTA Drops Questions
In a recent development, the NTA dropped 12 questions from the JEE Main 2025 exam. As per the rules, all candidates, regardless of whether they attempted the dropped questions or not, will receive full marks. This decision aims to ensure fairness in the evaluation process for all test-takers.
JEE Main Results
The results of JEE Main session 1 have been announced and are available on the official website. Candidates who appeared for Paper 1 can check their results and download their scorecards. Remember, JEE Main serves as a screening test for JEE Advanced, with the top 2.5 lakh candidates eligible for the advanced exam.
Beyond IITs Options
Besides IITs, numerous other institutes use the JEE Advanced score for admissions to undergraduate and dual degree programs. Aspiring engineers and scientists have a wide array of options to explore. This opens up possibilities for students to consider a variety of institutions focused on science and technology across India.
IIT Madras' Sports
IIT Madras has admitted five students under the 'Sports Excellence Admission' category. IIT Madras became the first IIT to introduce admissions for sportspersons in its undergraduate programs back in February 2024. This initiative underscores the growing importance of sports and holistic development.
