"You write songs from the heart. The one I resonate with most is 'Winning Speech' because it probably captures the journey you've gone through. I can see similarities with my own journey as well. I lost my dad when I was pretty young too, so that song is quite special for me. I've often listened to it before going out to play matches," he said.

Beyond the entertainment, the event also served as a platform to showcase One8's long-term vision. Kohli described the brand as a project in which he has been deeply involved. He said the brand reflects his own mindset and approach. "I almost crave situations where people feel like the game is gone, and then it's about how you manage to pull it back. That's how I've looked at situations from a very young age. I've never stopped believing, right until the very end, that the game isn't lost. You are never really done until you lose the game."
Delhi launch holds special significance
Addressing the audience, Kohli spoke about the emotional significance of unveiling the brand in Delhi, the city where he was born and where his sporting journey began.
"Delhi is the place where everything started for me. I was born in Delhi, my cricket journey started in Delhi, and Delhi will always remain a part of me. So, to be able to launch One8 in Delhi after so many years, a vision, a dream to come true like this, being the co-founder, is something that I always dreamt of. I was not sure it was going to turn into reality, but it's the love of all of you fans over so many years that's got us to this moment," he was quoted as saying by ANI.
Fashion designer Masaba Gupta was also among the prominent personalities present at the event.

One8 is Virat Kohli's lifestyle and sportswear brand, inspired by his iconic jersey number 18. The brand is now being scaled under Agilitas Sports, a company founded by former MD of Puma India and South-East Asia. Earlier, Kohli sold the sports-athleisure brand to Agilitas Sports while investing ₹40 crore to acquire a minority stake in the company.
Founded in 2023, Agilitas has rapidly expanded its footprint in the sportswear sector. The company strengthened its manufacturing capabilities through the acquisition of sports shoe manufacturer Mochiko and has attracted backing from investors such as Nexus Venture Partners.
