What is the story about?
The last week of September and the beginning of October bring a packed lineup of movies and series across major OTT platforms. From Dupahiya Season 2 and Pooja Meri Jaan to Ohh My Dog, Tamil rom-com #Love and boxing drama Main Ladega, there is plenty for viewers to choose from.
The week also brings East Of Eden and the LEGO One Piece special on Netflix, along with several Hindi and regional titles across Prime Video, JioHotstar and ZEE5.
Here’s a look at the movies and series releasing on OTT between September 28 and October 4, 2026.
Chumbak Season 2 (Netflix) | Netflix’s hit family comedy-drama series Chumbak is returning with season 2 on October 1. Written and directed by Aatish Kapadia and produced by Jamnadas (JD) Majethia, the second part continues the story of five interconnected families living in a Mumbai row-house colony. The eight-episode second part picks up from the events of the first season, bringing more relationship drama, misunderstandings and family secrets into the neighbourhood.
Dupahiya Season 2 (Prime Video) | The season 2 returns to Dhadakpur with Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane and Sparsh Shrivastava. This time, the arrival of a mobile phone tower becomes the centre of chaos in the village. When Banwari’s barren land is selected for the tower, the villagers begin blaming it for illnesses, natural disasters and other problems.
Meanwhile, Bhugol turns into an internet influencer, while Roshni has only seven days left before her SSC examinations. Inspector Mithlesh also begins to suspect that there could be more to the situation than village superstition, as the possibility of a scam emerges.
Pooja Meri Jaan (ZEE5) | Mrunal Thakur and Huma Qureshi headline Pooja Meri Jaan, a psychological courtroom thriller centred on obsession, rejection and consent. Thakur plays Pooja, a young woman who is relentlessly pursued by Aniket despite not returning his feelings. After Aniket dies by suicide, Pooja finds herself accused of abetment to suicide.
Huma Qureshi plays Sana, the lawyer defending Pooja. However, her own grief over Aniket’s death complicates the case as she tries to separate her personal emotions from her professional responsibility.
Ohh My Dog (Netflix) |Pankaj Tripathi and Pavan Malhotra star in Ohh My Dog, a comedy-drama revolving around two seemingly unrelated disappearances. In the film, a child is desperately searching for his missing dog, Momo, while a young labourer disappears in Bihar. As the two cases develop, they gradually lead towards a larger investigation involving unexpected clues and local characters.
The film mixes the emotional immediacy of a child’s search for an animal with a human disappearance, using humour without losing sight of the anxiety underpinning both cases.
#Love (Netflix) | Can an algorithm actually locate love, or does attraction begin precisely where calculations stop working? Aishwarya Lekshmi and Arjun Das headline the romantic drama #Love, which explores whether love can really be found through algorithms.
Lekshmi plays Tara, the founder of dating app FOUND, while Arjun Das plays Matthew, who runs the rival platform Find My Bae. While Tara believes compatibility can be determined through data, Matthew argues that chemistry cannot be reduced to numbers.
The two agree to a 60-day challenge to test their respective approaches to finding the perfect match. However, as the competition becomes personal, their own understanding of attraction is put to the test.
East Of Eden (Netflix) | Zoe Kazan’s adaptation of John Steinbeck’s East Of Eden stars Florence Pugh alongside Mike Faist, Christopher Abbott and Ciarán Hinds.
Set in California’s Salinas Valley, the story follows the intertwined lives of the Trask and Hamilton families across generations. At the centre is Cathy, whose actions leave a lasting impact on those around her.
The series explores family relationships, inherited trauma, love, resentment and the question of whether people can break away from the patterns passed down through generations.
Lego One Piece (Netflix) | The Straw Hat Pirates return in LEGO form in this two-part animated special. The story is narrated by Usopp, who recounts the crew’s earliest adventures in the East Blue to Tony Tony Chopper, who joined the Straw Hats later. Given Usopp’s tendency to exaggerate his stories, familiar adventures are revisited with a comic twist.
The live-action cast returns to voice their LEGO counterparts, including Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami and Jacob Romero as Usopp.
Main Ladega (JioHotstar) | Main Ladega follows a young man whose difficult childhood leads him towards boxing. Akash Pratap Singh plays a young man who grows up witnessing domestic violence at the hands of his abusive father. He eventually leaves home and finds refuge in an army hostel, where he takes up boxing.
As his training progresses, he begins pursuing a national championship. But his ambitions are also tied to his desire to confront his past and protect his mother.
