What is the story about?
The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards are underway at the Peacock Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, with Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay hosting the ceremony. The night is celebrating the best of television across drama, comedy, limited or anthology series and reality competition, with several major awards still to be announced.
The Pitt entered the ceremony as the most-nominated show with 25 nods, followed by Hacks with 24 and Widow’s Bay with 19. Pluribus and Beef also feature prominently among this year’s contenders.
Widow’s Bay currently leads the wins tally with two awards. Hacks, The Diplomat, The Beast in Me , Pluribus and The Traitors have one win each so far.
