Eid Sweet Treat
To commemorate the joyous occasion of Eid, Air India has prepared a special offering of Sheer Khurma, a traditional sweet dessert, for all passengers.
This delightful treat will be available on every flight departing on March 20, 2026, ensuring that the festive spirit reaches travelers regardless of their destination, whether it's a domestic flight or an international journey. The dessert will be served across all cabin classes, including those on return legs catered from overseas locations, making the celebration inclusive for everyone on Air India's network. On flights with multiple meal services, the Sheer Khurma will be presented as part of the main course, while standard refreshment services will continue as usual. This culinary initiative is being implemented through Air India's reputable catering partners, including TajSATS, Oberoi Flight Services, Casino Air Caterers and Flight Services (CAFS), and Ambassador’s Sky Chef (ASC), guaranteeing a consistent standard of quality and presentation across the board.
Navratri Fasting Thali
Beyond the inflight dining experience, Air India is extending its festive celebrations to its airport lounges, curating regionally inspired menus to delight passengers. At the recently unveiled Maharaja Lounge in Delhi International Airport, a specially crafted Navratri thali is available, designed to cater to those observing fasts. This special thali features a variety of traditional fasting-friendly dishes, such as fresh fruits, Sabudana Khichdi, a cooling Raita, refreshing Buttermilk, a flavorful Paneer Sabzi, and a sweet Kheer, among other delicacies. This thoughtful addition to the lounge menu reflects Air India's commitment to acknowledging and accommodating customer preferences during significant festive periods, offering a taste of home and tradition.
Gudi Padwa Delights
In Mumbai, the Adani Lounge marked the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa on March 19 with an array of delectable festive sweets, reflecting the rich culinary heritage of the region. Passengers had the opportunity to savor traditional treats such as Shrikhand, a creamy yogurt-based dessert, rich Chocolate Pedas, innovative Orange Coconut Barfi, delicate Mawa Modaks, and the popular sweet pastry, Gujiya. This thoughtful spread provided a sweet introduction to the Maharashtrian New Year. Furthermore, the lounge continued its celebratory offerings with a dedicated Eid menu on March 21, presenting a comprehensive selection for both lunch and dinner. The Eid spread included popular dishes like Dal Gosht, succulent Malai Chicken Gilafi Kebabs, fragrant Kacchi Murg Biryani, and a rich Paneer Reshmi Handi, complemented by exquisite desserts such as Shahi Tukda, Baklava, and traditional Phirni.

Through these comprehensive culinary initiatives, Air India aims to significantly elevate the overall travel experience for its passengers. By integrating the essence of India's diverse cultural tapestry and its rich culinary traditions directly into its services, both inflight and at the airport, the airline is creating a more immersive and memorable journey.
