August's Bank Holidays
Mark your calendars! Banks across India will be closed on August 23, 2025, due to the fourth Saturday rule. Other Sundays like August 3, August 10, August 17,
August 24, and August 31 will also see bank closures. Also, August 25 is a bank holiday.
Festival Related Closures
Beyond Saturdays and Sundays, there are religious observances! Banks will be closed on August 27 and 28 due to Ganesh Chaturthi. August 25 marks Tirubhav Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva, resulting in additional holiday.
Digital Banking Availability
Don't fret about physical closures! Net banking, mobile banking, UPI, and ATMs will function. You can still manage your finances. However, cheque clearing and Negotiable Instruments Act-governed activities won't be processed.
