New Routes Unveiled
As Noida International Airport prepares for its grand opening on June 15, 2026, airlines are beginning to announce their service offerings. Following IndiGo,
Akasa Air has officially confirmed its entry into this new aviation hub, introducing daily direct flights to two crucial domestic destinations: Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai. This strategic move is poised to significantly enhance travel links between the National Capital Region (NCR) and these prominent economic powerhouses. The airline's new services are set to commence on June 16, a mere day after the airport officially begins commercial operations, aiming to improve accessibility to the NCR and bolster connections with rapidly expanding business and technology centres. Akasa Air's current operations already include 188 weekly flights within the wider NCR area, and this expansion will further solidify its footprint in northern India. This launch is also anticipated to alleviate air traffic congestion at Delhi's existing airport infrastructure, offering travellers an additional and potentially more convenient travel option in the region.
Flight Schedules Detailed
Akasa Air is launching daily, non-stop services from the new Noida International Airport starting June 16, 2026, covering two key routes with a total of four daily flights. For the Bengaluru route, flight QP 1575 is scheduled to depart Bengaluru at 4:25 pm, arriving in Noida at 7:15 pm. The return journey, QP 1576, will depart Noida at 7:55 pm and reach Bengaluru by 11 pm. In the case of Navi Mumbai, flight QP 2017 will depart Navi Mumbai at 7:25 am, landing in Noida at 9:35 am. The corresponding return flight, QP 2018, will take off from Noida at 10:15 am, with an arrival time in Navi Mumbai of 12:30 pm. All these services are confirmed to operate every day without any intermediate stops, ensuring efficient travel for passengers on both the Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai sectors.
Booking Your Tickets
Passengers eager to experience the new flight connections can now secure their seats, as ticket bookings for Akasa Air's upcoming services from Noida International Airport are officially open. Reservations can be made conveniently through Akasa Air's official website, the airline's dedicated mobile applications available on both Android and iOS platforms, or via various other online travel agencies. The airline has indicated that its network from Noida will see gradual expansion in the ensuing months. Future plans include a steady increase in both domestic and international flight offerings, suggesting a growing commitment to utilizing Noida International Airport as a key hub for its operations.
Maintenance Facility Planned
Beyond its passenger flight operations, Akasa Air has also revealed ambitious plans to establish a state-of-the-art Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility at the Noida International Airport complex. This proposed facility is intended to be comprehensive, supporting a wide spectrum of aircraft maintenance requirements. The development is expected to significantly contribute to improving operational efficiencies, upholding stringent safety standards, and bolstering long-term technical support capabilities for Akasa Air's expanding fleet. Industry analysts anticipate that the establishment of an MRO hub at this location could further solidify the airport's emerging role as a vital aviation and logistics centre for the northern region of India.
Airport's Licence Secured
The commencement of these airline services follows a significant milestone earlier in the year when the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officially granted an aerodrome licence to Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), the entity responsible for the airport's development and management. This crucial licence, awarded in March under the 'Public Use' category, signifies that the airport is equipped for all-weather operational capabilities. Once fully operational, Noida International Airport is projected to become one of India's most important aviation gateways, catering to both domestic and international travellers and substantially boosting air connectivity across Uttar Pradesh and the broader National Capital Region.
