Aggressive Aerodynamics, Iconic Style
The Fenomeno Roadster makes a striking visual statement, limited to an exclusive 15 units, echoing its coupe sibling's release. Sporting a captivating
'Blu Cepheus' paint with 'Rossa Mars' accents, a nod to the 1968 Miura Roadster and Bologna's colours, this open-top creation prioritizes aerodynamic prowess. Lamborghini engineers have meticulously redesigned key upper surfaces, integrating new aero-elements to match the coupe's downforce and stability, while ensuring superior engine and brake cooling. A notable feature is the re-sculpted flat windshield, incorporating a spoiler that expertly diverts cabin air to the engine bay. The front fascia boasts aggressive LED headlamps, sharp, dynamic lines, substantial air intakes, and characteristic hexagonal motifs. Moving along the sides, well-defined lines and strategically placed air intakes behind the doors flow into a long tail, reminiscent of the Essenza SCV12. The roadster is fitted with bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Sport semi-slick tires, mounted on 21-inch front and 22-inch rear rims, contributing to its extreme performance capabilities.
Fighter Jet Cockpit, Tech Infusion
Stepping inside the Fenomeno Roadster is akin to entering the cockpit of a fighter jet, adhering to Lamborghini's 'Feel like a Pilot' design ethos. The cabin layout mirrors that of its coupe counterpart, featuring an array of fighter jet-inspired controls and design elements. Extensive use of carbon fibre trim graces the centre console, door panels, and supportive bucket seats, while the dashboard incorporates innovative 3D-printed air vents. The seats themselves are highlighted by contrasting red stitching, engineered to provide exceptional support during extreme cornering maneuvers. The driver is presented with a triple-display setup: a substantial 12.3-inch digital driver's display, an 8.4-inch central touchscreen, and an estimated 9.1-inch passenger display, ensuring all occupants have access to crucial information and entertainment.
Hybrid V12 Powerhouse
At the heart of the Fenomeno Roadster lies a formidable 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine, augmented by three electric motors, collectively delivering an astonishing 1080hp. This groundbreaking V12 PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) system makes it the first open-top model from the brand to feature such advanced hybrid propulsion. Power is efficiently managed through an 8-speed DCT gearbox, while a 7kWh battery pack provides the energy for the electric motors. Despite the inherent weight additions associated with hybrid technology, Lamborghini has engineered the chassis with remarkable stiffness and rigidity, comparable to the coupe, with only a minor increase in overall weight. This structural integrity is achieved through a sophisticated combination of long and short carbon fibres and a patented fluid mixture, enhancing both performance and energy absorption capabilities in the event of a collision. This advanced chassis technology marks its debut in a production hybrid Lamborghini.
Blistering Performance Figures
The Fenomeno Roadster redefines open-top performance, achieving a blistering 0-100kph sprint in just 2.4 seconds, a figure identical to its coupe counterpart. This remarkable acceleration is a testament to the potent synergy between the V12 engine and the electric motors. The car continues its impressive acceleration, reaching 100-200kph in a mere 6.8 seconds. With a top speed exceeding 340kph, the Fenomeno Roadster offers an exhilarating driving experience that rivals the most exclusive hypercars. The advanced chassis design, focusing on stiffness and weight optimization, plays a crucial role in enabling these extreme performance metrics, ensuring stability and control even at the limits.
