These features allow for smooth transit from the parking level directly into the terminal, significantly reducing the hassle often associated with airport arrivals and managing baggage.
Integrated Terminal Design
Navigating the airport is streamlined thanks to Noida International Airport's intelligent design, featuring a single, integrated terminal for both arriving and departing passengers. This clever setup is organized across two distinct levels. The upper level is exclusively designated for departures, allowing passengers to proceed towards their flights, while the lower level is dedicated to arrivals, ensuring arriving passengers have a clear and efficient pathway upon disembarking. This unified structure eliminates confusion and promotes a fluid movement of people throughout the airport.
Unified Concourse Flow
Complementing the single terminal concept, the airport incorporates a unified concourse area that serves both arrival and departure sections seamlessly. Unlike some airports that might have separate ramp areas, Jewar International Airport offers a more direct approach. Passengers looking to reach the departure level from the arrival concourse can utilize two easily accessible escalators and two lifts, strategically placed on either side of the arrival area. This thoughtful placement ensures a convenient and direct route for passengers to access the departure facilities.
Swift Entry Gates
The departure terminal is engineered for rapid passenger ingress, featuring a total of eight entry gates, each equipped with eight individual access points. This configuration significantly boosts passenger throughput, allowing multiple individuals to enter concurrently and dramatically cutting down on waiting times. Crucially, all these gates are integrated with the Digi Yatra application, facilitating a contactless and swift entry process for passengers who have registered. Furthermore, a separate, dedicated entry gate is provided for flight crew and airport personnel, ensuring their efficient movement without impeding passenger flow.
Streamlined Check-In
Upon entering the terminal, passengers will immediately notice the conveniently placed airline check-in counters positioned at the forefront. Here, travelers can engage with airline staff to complete their baggage check-in procedures and receive their boarding passes. For passengers who have already completed their check-in online, the airport offers an advanced self-bag drop facility. This allows individuals to independently tag their luggage and deposit it, saving valuable time and further enhancing the overall efficiency of the pre-flight process.
Advanced Security Screening
To ensure a rapid and smooth security screening process, Jewar Airport is equipped with cutting-edge infrastructure. The facility houses 13 Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMDs), with 12 designated for passenger screening and one reserved for airport staff and crew. Complementing this are six Automatic Tray Retrieval Systems (ATRS) for baggage scanning. These systems are designed to expedite the handling of baggage, minimizing queues and ensuring passengers move through security checkpoints with greater speed and less friction.
Comfortable Boarding Zone
Post-security, passengers will find themselves in a well-appointed boarding area. A corridor to the left guides travelers towards the boarding gates. At the end of this pathway, two escalators lead down to the lower level where the primary boarding gates are located. This level thoughtfully integrates passenger comfort, featuring a food court on the left side and the boarding gates on the right. The airport offers a total of 10 main boarding gates, supplemented by 2 bus gates for remote aircraft access. Passengers directed to bus gates will proceed to a further lower level equipped with similar amenities.
