Exterior Evolution
The Skoda Kushaq's exterior has undergone a substantial transformation, drawing clear inspiration from its larger sibling, the Skoda Kodiaq. This update
brings a more contemporary and sophisticated look to the SUV. At the front, you'll notice redesigned, slimmer projector LED headlights complemented by distinctive eyebrow-shaped daytime running lights, adding a sharp visual signature. The grille has been restyled, featuring segmented LED elements that enhance its modern appeal. Moving to the sides, the Kushaq now sports 17-inch alloy wheels, along with robust roof rails capable of supporting up to 50kg, and protective black cladding around the wheel arches and lower door sills, emphasizing its rugged character. The rear profile is equally striking, characterized by sleek, connected LED tail lights that incorporate illuminated branding, a sporty roof-mounted spoiler, and a functional rear wiper with a washer. The rear bumper has been redesigned with a black finish and includes integrated reflectors, completing the vehicle's cohesive and dynamic aesthetic.
Cabin Comfort & Tech
Stepping inside, the Skoda Kushaq facelift maintains a familiar dashboard architecture, still featuring the stylish 2-spoke steering wheel that benefits from ambient lighting. However, the technological and comfort enhancements are significant. The central 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system now boasts a revised user interface for a more intuitive experience. Accompanying this is a larger 10.25-inch digital display for the driver, providing clearer and more comprehensive information. The list of available features has been expanded considerably, now including a panoramic sunroof for an airy cabin feel, a segment-exclusive rear seat massage function for enhanced passenger comfort, and powered and ventilated front seats for optimal driver and co-driver support. Convenience is further bolstered by a wireless phone charging pad and automatic climate control, complete with rear air vents to ensure consistent comfort for all occupants, regardless of their seating position.
Safety Innovations
On the safety front, the Skoda Kushaq facelift is well-equipped to provide peace of mind for its occupants. Standard safety provisions include six airbags strategically placed throughout the cabin, a rear parking camera to assist with maneuvering, and parking sensors for both the front and rear of the vehicle. A tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is also included as standard, providing crucial real-time information about tire health. Additionally, the vehicle features an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror (IRVM) to reduce glare from headlights in low-light conditions. It's worth noting that while the safety features are comprehensive, the facelift does not incorporate a 360-degree camera system or an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) suite, features that have become increasingly common among its direct competitors in the current market landscape.
Powertrain Options
The Skoda Kushaq facelift offers two distinct turbocharged petrol engine options to cater to different driving needs. The first is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, engineered to deliver 115 horsepower, providing a good balance of performance and efficiency for everyday driving. For those seeking more spirited performance, an optional 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine is available, producing a robust 150 horsepower. This more powerful engine can be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) for swift and smooth gear changes. The 1.0-litre engine, on the other hand, offers flexibility with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, providing a comfortable and refined driving experience, alongside the traditional option of a six-speed manual gearbox for drivers who prefer direct control.
