Advanced Mesh Connectivity
The latest generation of motorcycle intercoms introduces the sophisticated Ridegrid 2.0 mesh platform, designed to elevate your communication experience
on two wheels. This innovative system supports a wide spectrum of users, accommodating everything from simple rider-to-pillion chats to expansive group conversations involving an unlimited number of participants within the C60 range. A standout feature for the C60, C60+, and C60Pro models is the ability to initiate private communication channels within a larger mesh network. This allows riders to engage in one-on-one conversations without disconnecting from the main group, providing flexibility and privacy during rides. These advanced models attach securely to the rear of the helmet using the MagDock 2.0 system and boast an IP67 water resistance certification, ensuring durability in various weather conditions. The C60 range, representing the flagship offering, is initially available with introductory prices spanning from Rs 10,999 to Rs 14,999 for the top-tier Pro variant. Post this promotional period, these prices are expected to increase, with the range then retailing between Rs 15,999 and Rs 24,999.
Versatile Group Communication
Expanding the communication possibilities, the C40 model is engineered to support mesh networking for up to 20 users simultaneously. While it enables group communication, it's important to note that simultaneous music playback over the Ridegrid system is not supported on this model. Similar to the C60 series, the C40 is designed for helmet attachment, utilizing a ClickDock setup for convenient mounting. This model is currently offered at an introductory price of Rs 8,999, with its price set to rise to Rs 12,999 once the initial offer concludes. This provides a compelling option for riders looking for robust group connectivity without needing the absolute top-tier features, offering a balance between functionality and cost.
Entry-Level Essentials
For riders prioritizing essential communication, the C10 model offers a streamlined solution focused on 1-to-1 mesh intercom capabilities. This entry-level device boasts an impressive claimed range of 1.2 kilometers and a substantial battery life of 13 hours, making it suitable for extended solo journeys or communication with a riding companion. Notably, the C10 is designed for broad compatibility, functioning as a universal intercom without mesh capabilities with most other higher-end offerings from the brand, excluding the C30. Its mounting system is situated on the side of the helmet, mirroring the installation of more traditional intercom units, and it also features an IP67 water resistance rating. The C10 is available at an attractive introductory price of Rs 3,499, with its price scheduled to increase to Rs 4,999 after the promotional period ends, making it an accessible option for many riders.
Innovative Hardware and Software
Beyond the core communication features, the brand is also enhancing the hardware and software experience across its intercom range. A notable hardware improvement is the introduction of a new single-cable weave wiring system. This innovative design replaces conventional cable management solutions, simplifying the installation process for users and offering greater flexibility. This allows riders to more easily integrate separate speaker sets from different manufacturers if they wish. On the software front, features like 'Hey Blu' voice commands, crash detection, and deceleration auto-alert are integrated into most models (except for the C10, which receives 'Dhwani by Blu' speakers instead of 'Signature Audio by BLU'). The brand also plans to extend the reverse compatibility of its proprietary 'Hey Blu' voice-activated communication system to older models over time, initially offering a set of basic commands with plans for future updates to expand functionality. The T-stick mount, standard on the C60+ and C60Pro, is also compatible with the C60 and now features an improved holder for better positioning below the mirror stalk, while retaining Velcro fastening. The C60 range continues to work with both MagDock 1.0 and 2.0 systems.
