Exterior Refinements
The new BMW 7 Series retains its commanding stance while sporting updated exterior styling. At the front, a distinctive lighting signature features slim
daytime running lights positioned above the main headlamp units, complemented by a redesigned bumper and bonnet. The iconic kidney grille now adopts a sleeker horizontal slat design, replacing the previous vertical elements. Towards the rear, slimmer taillamps incorporate a fresh lighting graphic and a darkened lower section. The side profile has been smoothed out with reduced creasing, contributing to a more fluid aesthetic. The vehicle is further enhanced by available alloy wheels up to 22 inches and a variety of paint options, including sophisticated dual-finish schemes, allowing for greater personalization.
Revolutionary Cabin
The most substantial transformation lies within the cabin, which has been completely reconfigured to showcase the next-generation iDrive system, Operating System X. A striking full-width display stretches across the windscreen, integrating seamlessly with a generous 17.9-inch central touchscreen. Adding to the digital immersion, a standard 14.6-inch screen is provided for the front passenger. The system supports advanced AI voice control, enables over-the-air software updates, and offers robust smartphone integration. Further interior highlights include a unique vertical twin-spoke steering wheel, a refined crystal gear selector, and a significant reduction in physical buttons, creating a more minimalist and intuitive user experience. Rear occupants are treated to an expansive 31.3-inch 8K Theatre Screen with integrated Dolby Atmos, facilitating video calls and immersive gaming. Rear door touch controls offer convenient adjustment of the screen's position. The luxurious ambiance is completed by ambient lighting, a panoramic roof, and advanced four-zone climate control.
Diverse Powertrains
The updated 7 Series offers an extensive array of powertrain choices, catering to a wide spectrum of preferences, including traditional internal combustion engines, plug-in hybrids, and fully electric configurations. The internal combustion engine options feature a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine available in both petrol and diesel variants, both enhanced by a 48V mild-hybrid system. In the 740 xDrive, the petrol engine delivers a robust 400 hp and 580 Nm of torque. For diesel enthusiasts, the 740d xDrive provides 313 hp and 670 Nm of torque. The plug-in hybrid variants, the 750e xDrive and M760e xDrive, combine a 3.0-litre inline-six petrol engine with an electric motor. The 750e produces a combined output of 489 hp and 700 Nm of torque, while the more performance-oriented M760e boasts 612 hp and 800 Nm of torque. These plug-in hybrids offer an estimated all-electric range of 70-82 km for the 750e and approximately 80 km for the M760e, based on WLTP standards. The fully electric i7 lineup includes several models: the i7 50 xDrive, i7 60 xDrive, and i7 M70 xDrive. All i7 variants are equipped with a substantial 112.5 kWh battery and support rapid DC fast charging up to 250 kW. Power output ranges from 455 hp and 660 Nm in the i7 50 xDrive to an impressive 680 hp and up to 1100 Nm in the i7 M70 xDrive. The WLTP-certified driving range for the i7 models varies between 566 km and 728 km, depending on the specific variant.
