Massive Parking Capacity
Namo Bharat, India's pioneering Regional Rapid Transit System, has dramatically enhanced commuter convenience by introducing substantial parking facilities
at its stations. Following its public launch on February 23, 2026, the system saw an impressive uptake, with over 1 lakh passengers utilizing the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor on its inaugural full day of operation. To facilitate this high volume of travel and encourage wider adoption of public transport, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has provisioned parking spaces for more than 8,000 vehicles across the network. Ghaziabad Station leads with a vast capacity, accommodating 370 four-wheelers and 632 two-wheelers, strategically positioned near Shaheed Sthal Metro to serve as a key intermodal interchange. Sahibabad Station offers parking for 76 cars and 223 two-wheelers, while Guldhar Station near Raj Nagar Extension provides spots for 191 cars and 848 two-wheelers. In Delhi, Sarai Kale Khan Station integrates parking for 266 cars and 837 two-wheelers with major transport hubs like the Veer Hakikat Rai ISBT, the Metro, and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station. Anand Vihar Station also contributes with parking for approximately 50 vehicles. Further along the route, Meerut South Station near the Partapur Bypass is equipped to park 289 cars and 854 two-wheelers, with convenient bus connections to Haridwar and Roorkee. Modipuram Station boasts parking for 135 cars and over 1,200 two-wheelers, and Shatabdi Nagar Station can house 120 cars and more than 350 two-wheelers. The Meerut Metro line adds further capacity, with Partapur Station providing space for about 160 two-wheelers, Rithani Station for around 80, Brahmpuri Station for over 100, MES Colony Station for more than 60, and Daurli Station for nearly 100 two-wheelers. This comprehensive parking network aims to eliminate the common commuter frustration of searching for parking spots.
Digital Connectivity & Services
Complementing its extensive parking infrastructure, Namo Bharat offers advanced digital services through its dedicated 'Namo Bharat Connect' mobile application, developed by NCRTC. This app serves as a comprehensive tool for commuters, providing essential real-time information. Users can effortlessly check the current availability of parking spaces at various stations, eliminating the guesswork and saving valuable time. Furthermore, the app allows passengers to track their trains live, ensuring they can plan their onward journeys with precision. Navigation assistance within stations is also integrated, guiding commuters smoothly through the facilities. For misplaced items, a 'lost and found' service is accessible through the app, adding another layer of convenience and security. To manage traffic flow effectively and prevent congestion, special drop-off zones have been designated outside station premises. Enhancing last-mile connectivity, NCRTC has forged partnerships with various service providers, including e-rickshaws, feeder buses, cabs, and rental two-wheeler services. For commuters needing parking at busy underground stations like Begumpul, alternative arrangements have been made at the nearby Abu Lane Market, ensuring accessibility.
Accessible Parking Rates
Namo Bharat has established a clear and accessible fee structure for its parking facilities to ensure affordability and predictability for its users. For bicycles, the charge is Rs 5 for the initial 10 minutes up to 6 hours, with subsequent rates of Rs 10 for 12 to 16 hours. Two-wheelers are charged Rs 10 for the first 10 minutes to 6 hours, increasing to Rs 25 for 6-12 hours, Rs 30 for 12-16 hours, and Rs 30 for extended periods beyond 16 hours. The rates for cars and SUVs are set at Rs 30 for the initial 10 minutes to 6 hours, Rs 60 for 6-12 hours, Rs 80 for 12-16 hours, and Rs 100 for stays exceeding 16 hours. It's important to note that parking rates at stations located within Delhi operate slightly differently. At these Delhi stations, bicycles are priced at Rs 5 for 10 minutes to 6 hours. Two-wheelers incur a charge of Rs 20 for 10 minutes to 6 hours and Rs 50 for a full 16-hour period. Cars and SUVs are charged Rs 50 for 10 minutes to 6 hours, and Rs 100 for a 16-hour duration. This tiered pricing model aims to accommodate various user needs while ensuring the sustainability of the extensive parking infrastructure.
