Fresh Paint Schemes
KTM's entry-level Duke motorcycles, the 200 Duke and 250 Duke, have just received a significant visual upgrade, adopting colour schemes that were previously
exclusive to international markets. This move aims to inject a new level of excitement and aesthetic appeal into these already popular models. Specifically, the 250 Duke is now available in a striking Slate Grey and Silver Metallic combination, offering a sophisticated yet aggressive look. Complementing this, the 200 Duke sports a bold new Atlantic Blue shade, designed to catch the eye and stand out on the roads. Importantly, these updates are purely cosmetic; the core engineering, performance capabilities, and braking systems of both motorcycles remain identical to their predecessors, ensuring that the thrill of riding remains undiluted. This strategic colour refresh provides existing and potential owners with a more personalized and modern aesthetic without altering the established performance benchmarks.
Unchanged Performance & Pricing
Despite the exciting visual transformation, KTM has maintained the established performance figures and pricing for both the 200 Duke and 250 Duke in the Indian market. The 250 Duke continues to be powered by its robust 248.8 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which delivers a peak output of 30.75 bhp at 9,250 rpm and a torque of 25 Nm at 7,250 rpm, coupled with a 6-speed transmission and slipper clutch. Similarly, the 200 Duke retains its 199.5 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing 24.68 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 19.3 Nm at 8,000 rpm, also paired with a 6-speed transmission and slipper clutch. In terms of pricing, the 250 Duke remains priced at Rs 2.13 lakh (ex-showroom), while the 200 Duke is available for Rs 1.93 lakh (ex-showroom). This commitment to maintaining existing specifications and cost ensures that riders receive the same dependable performance and value they have come to expect from these models, with the added benefit of a fresh, contemporary appearance.
Technical Specifications Overview
Delving into the technical aspects, both the 200 Duke and 250 Duke are equipped with advanced suspension and braking systems designed for optimal rider control and comfort. The 200 Duke, while featuring slightly different suspension components, also benefits from robust stopping power with 300 mm front and 230 mm rear disc brakes, also incorporating dual-channel ABS. It shares the same 17-inch wheel size and tyre dimensions (110/70 front and 150/60 rear) as its elder sibling. These specifications underscore the performance-oriented nature of both motorcycles, providing a stable and responsive riding platform for various conditions.
