Exterior Design Evolution
The latest iteration of the electric compact SUV has been observed undergoing road testing, providing the public with an uncamouflaged glimpse of its updated
design. Significant alterations are evident at the front, where the bumper has been redesigned with a more streamlined appearance, moving away from the previous model's black trim and connected intake elements. The central air dam and skid plate have been refined, contributing to a sharper aesthetic, while the distinctive Y-shaped LED daytime running lights and the charging port's central placement remain consistent. The vehicle's side profile retains its recognizable silhouette, but there's anticipation for new alloy wheel designs across various trim levels. The observed test vehicle was finished in a striking red dual-tone paint scheme complemented by a black roof, hinting at the manufacturer's strategy to introduce new color options, such as brown and a vibrant yellow, to enhance market appeal and cater to a broader range of customer preferences. These visual updates aim to give the compact SUV a more modern and appealing presence on the road.
Rear Styling and Powertrain Specs
At the rear, the updated electric compact SUV draws inspiration from its gasoline-powered counterpart, featuring a sleek full-width LED light bar and a revised bumper design. This alignment with the ICE variant lends the electric model a more sophisticated and premium look. Mechanically, the vehicle continues to be offered with two battery pack options: a 25kWh unit and a larger 35kWh capacity. Both are coupled with a front-mounted electric motor. The smaller 25kWh battery configuration delivers 82 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. Opting for the 35kWh battery increases the performance to 122 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque. The official Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) certified driving ranges for the current models are 265 kilometers for the 25kWh version and 365 kilometers for the 35kWh option. It is anticipated that these figures might see slight adjustments upon the official release of the facelifted model.
