Braking & Keyless Entry
The 2026 models of both the Primavera and Sprint S are set to impress with crucial mechanical enhancements, particularly in their stopping power. For all
variants above 50cc, the rear drum brake is being replaced by a more robust 220 mm steel disc brake. This upgrade, featuring a twin-piston caliper, works in tandem with the existing front disc and ABS system to offer riders superior and more predictable deceleration, especially vital in busy city environments. Furthermore, a significant convenience upgrade comes in the form of keyless ignition across all models exceeding 50cc. This innovative system allows riders to effortlessly start the engine, release the seat, and activate a bike finder function, all managed through a sleek electronic fob, streamlining the entire process of starting and securing the scooter.
Wheels & Powertrain Options
Enhancements extend to the wheels and the available powertrain configurations for the 2026 Vespa lineup. Both the Primavera and Sprint S will now feature newly designed 12-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels. These wheels not only contribute to a more contemporary and streamlined aesthetic but also play a role in delivering a more stable and reassuring ride quality. Under the hood, the familiar and reliable engine options remain unchanged. Riders can still choose from the efficient air-cooled 50 cc, 125 cc, and 150 cc units, all equipped with fuel injection for their petrol-powered versions. For those prioritizing environmental consciousness, electric moped variants are available, albeit with a top speed capped at 45 km/h and featuring easily removable batteries for convenient charging. The Primavera Tech electric model specifically offers enhanced performance for riders seeking a more dynamic zero-emission solution.
Styling & Cockpit Updates
Vespa has meticulously refined the styling elements of both the Sprint S and Primavera to offer distinct yet complementary aesthetics. The Sprint S, designed with a sportier ethos, now boasts a redesigned front grille featuring five distinct slots, a subtle nod to classic Vespa design cues that imbues it with a more aggressive stance. On the Primavera, the design team has focused on elegance, subtly refining the mudguard crest and introducing a slimmer, more delicate "tie" element on the front shield, enhancing its sophisticated appearance. Practicality remains a priority, with the return of the convenient retractable bag hook positioned under the handlebars, perfect for securely carrying essentials during quick urban errands. The rider's interface receives a significant upgrade with a completely redesigned cockpit. The Primavera features a full LCD instrument cluster presenting information with a classic white-on-black display, while the Sprint S sports a similar cluster with sporty red accents. Certain higher-end trims will continue to offer a 5-inch TFT display, complete with Vespa MIA app integration for seamless navigation and call management. A variety of new color schemes are also introduced, artfully blending contemporary hues with Vespa's signature design flair, offering riders more personalized choices.
