New Charging Oasis
In a move set to significantly boost electric vehicle accessibility, a prominent automotive manufacturer has established its inaugural in-mall charging
station in India, located at the Nexus Seawoods Mall in Navi Mumbai. This new hub, strategically placed within the mall's B1 parking area, is equipped with a total of eight charging units. Four of these are advanced V4 Superchargers, capable of delivering DC fast charging at impressive speeds of up to 250 kW, and alongside these are four Destination Chargers that provide AC charging at a rate of 11 kW. This diverse offering is designed to meet the varied energy replenishment needs of EV drivers, whether they require a rapid power boost or a more extended charging session while attending to other activities within the mall. This initiative marks a key expansion of the company's footprint in India's rapidly evolving electric mobility landscape, emphasizing convenience for EV owners.
Convenience Meets Speed
The company's strategic approach prioritizes establishing charging infrastructure in locations where consumers naturally spend their time. This includes popular destinations like shopping centers and key highway rest stops, allowing individuals to seamlessly integrate vehicle charging into their daily routines and travel plans. The cutting-edge Supercharger technology boasts remarkable performance, demonstrated by its ability to add approximately 275 km of driving range to a compatible electric model in a mere 15 minutes. This capability is a game-changer for intercity travel, making longer journeys more practical and less time-consuming for EV users. The entire charging process is streamlined through a dedicated mobile application, which empowers users to easily locate available stations, monitor their vehicle's charging status in real-time, and manage payments with utmost efficiency, creating an integrated and user-friendly experience.
Expanding Network Reach
This new Navi Mumbai facility represents the fourth dedicated charging location inaugurated by the company across India. Prior to this launch, charging points were already operational in key urban centers, including Gurugram, Delhi, and Mumbai. With the addition of the Nexus Seawoods Mall station, the company's network now encompasses a total of 20 Superchargers and 14 Destination Chargers, strategically positioned across major cities to serve a growing number of electric vehicle owners. In conjunction with the charging infrastructure, a temporary showroom has also been set up within the mall’s central atrium. This pop-up space offers visitors an immersive opportunity to engage with the company's electric vehicles, featuring guided tours, the option for test drives, and interactive product showcases. These expansions underscore a strong commitment to building a robust and easily accessible charging network throughout India, actively supporting and accelerating the widespread adoption of electric vehicles across the nation.
