The motorcycle landscape is evolving with targeted upgrades for riders seeking enhanced performance and style in the commuter segment. One notable release
is a new variant of the Pulsar N160, priced at ₹1.22 lakh (ex-showroom). This iteration enhances the sporty appeal with gold-finished 37mm upside-down forks, a dual-channel ABS system offering three distinct modes, and an assist and slipper clutch for smoother gear transitions. Additionally, it boasts a Bluetooth-enabled reverse LCD display and a bi-directional LED projector headlight with integrated LED DRLs, promising a more engaging and comfortable riding experience. Mechanically, it retains the 164.82cc, two-valve, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, delivering 15.8 bhp at 8,750 rpm and 14.65 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Braking is managed by a 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc, complemented by the advanced ABS. The motorcycle weighs 152 kg and features a 14-litre fuel tank with a 795mm seat height. This new variant sits between the existing single-channel ABS and dual-channel ABS models, competing with popular models like the TVS Apache RTR 160, Yamaha FZ, and Hero Xtreme 160 4V.
