Violations at big basket warehouse:
Earlier, a flying squad visit to M/s Supermarket Grocery Stores Supplies Pvt Ltd (Big Basket Warehouse) at Kompally on April 18 revealed serious violations. These include unhygienic & rusty transport vehicles violating Schedule 4 transport conditions.
The warehouse operates 22 transport vehicles, but the license does not include ‘Transport’ in KoB while pigeon droppings, cobwebs were found in the warehouse and vegetables were found in unclean condition and was unhandled in an unsafe manner.
Officials took samples of chicken & fish on suspicion of adulteration or contamination for testing. Sample of Institutional Tamarind (Imli) packed by M/s Raja Rajeshwari Food Processors (FSSAI Lic.
