headlines, and that’s not because of Taylor Swift’s fame but because of the eye-watering cost of the wedding. Reports suggest that the wedding will be happening on July 3 following the rehearsal dinner on July 2.
According to the NYT report, there will be an “intimate gathering” of 100 people on Thursday with a bigger celebration on Friday, with reports that a castle is being assembled inside based on photos taken outside the venue of a giant white staircase.

According to TMZ, hiring Madison Square alone could cost up to $1 million per night. CNN reported that the premium lighting used in the wedding costs around $150,000 and $300,000. Wedding planner Nicole Simeral estimated that the floral arrangements and décor for an event of this size could exceed the budget of $1 million. Swift and Kelce won’t be the first couple to tie the knot at The Garden. Funk and soul star Sly Stone and actor Kathy Silva got married at MSG back in 1974, bringing thousands of fans and guests with them.
Previously there were rumours that the wedding would be an intimate ceremony held in Swift’s Watch Hill estate, located in a New England seaside village.TMZ obtained a video of crews loading what appears to be a gazebo into Madison Square Garden.

Swift and Kelce will hold different events at Madison Square Garden later this week. There will be an intimate gathering for about 100 guests on Thursday evening, which is also a rehearsal dinner in the Infosys Theatre and not the main arena, and on Friday July 3 there will be a large and extravagant event with a black tie dress code and about 1,000 guests. Both events will have a no phone policy for all guests, vendors and security. Swift and Kelce’s wedding seems to be appearing to form a formal affair. The dress code is black tie according to two people familiar with the event who spoke to The New York Times on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to speak publicly. For women attending, the dress code is gowns, for men it means a tuxedo with a jacket, black bow tie and matching satin striped trousers. The women attending appear to have a little flexibility with floor length gowns.

The menu for their wedding has been revealed and Krispy Kreme doughnuts may be involved. On July 1, Page Six spotted boxes of dough being delivered into Madison Square Garden. Some of the items that were delivered seem to appear to contain lobster meat, various types of chicken, thick cut onion rings, fries, peppers, romaine lettuce, eggs, whole milk and heavy whipping cream. Page Six also mentioned noticing a Krispy Kreme truck outside the arena, hinting that doughnuts may also be on the menu.
