New Delhi: After impressing everyone as Rahman Dakait in Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, Akshaye Khanna has transformed into an entirely different avatar in Prasath
Varma’s directorial, Mahakali. The makers dropped the new poster of the actor as Shukracharya and he looks almost unrecognisable.
The film also marks Telugu debut for the actor. The makers have also announced that the much-awaited glimpse of the mythological film will be released on August 24.

Sharing the new look of Akshaye Khanna as Shukracharya, the makers wrote a cryptic caption which read, “24th August – The End Begins”

In the poster, the actor can be seen sporting a long beard, hair pulled in a high topknot and tilak marking on his forehead. Clad in a layered costume, he can be seen wearing traditional accessories.
In Mahakali, Akshaye Khanna essays the role of Shukracharya, the formidable guru of the Asurus in Hindu mythology.
In September last year, the makers shared a look of Akshaye Khanna from the film and wrote, “In the shadows of gods, rose the brightest flame of rebellion Presenting The Enigmatic #AkshayeKhanna as the eternal ‘Asuraguru SHUKRACHARYA’ from #Mahakali.”
