New Delhi: The country today marks the 76th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with warm wishes and a look back at the positive changes of the past
twelve months. From stronger economic numbers to better daily facilities for ordinary people, the country has moved forward with quiet confidence.
Steady economic rise
In the last year India remained one of the fastest-growing major economies. Growth stayed healthy around 7.7 per cent. The nation continued its climb as a large global economy, now standing among the top ranks. Ordinary citizens felt the benefit through more jobs, better markets and rising digital payments that made money transfers simple and safe.
Welfare that reaches homes
Government schemes kept supporting the poor and the middle class. Free food grains continued for more than 81 crore people. Millions of families received new houses under the housing mission. Clean cooking gas, tap water in villages and health cover under Ayushman Bharat helped millions live with greater dignity. Women especially gained, with many more bank accounts and self-help groups helping them earn better.
Security and self-reliance
The previous year also showed India’s firm stand on security. Decisive action after terror incidents reminded the world that the country protects its people. At the same time, defence production at home grew stronger. New semiconductor plants began work, bringing chip-making closer to Indian soil. These steps reduce dependence on others and create skilled jobs for the young.
Digital and green steps
UPI transactions kept breaking records, proving how technology has made life easier for farmers, shopkeepers and students. Rooftop solar schemes and renewable energy projects moved India closer to cleaner power. Rural roads, more airports and metro lines continued to connect distant places, saving time and opening new chances.
Looking to the future
As PM Modi marks another birthday, the message is clear. India is building steadily toward the goal of a developed nation by 2047. The last year added new layers of strength in the economy, welfare, security and technology. People across the country offer good wishes and hope for more progress in the years ahead.
