Ahmed Khan’s directorial Welcome To The Jungle is now all set to make its way into the OTT world. The film is slated to release on JioHotstar on August 21, according to reports. However, an official announcement is still awaited.

Welcome To The Jungle revolves around a businessman who comes up with an unusual plan to get himself out of a financial mess. So, he decides to make a film that is intentionally designed to fail. He assembles a chaotic team of actors and filmmakers for the project, but things quickly spiral out of control when gangsters become involved. The crew then heads to a remote location for the shoot, only to be mistaken for actual Army personnel. What starts as a fake movie soon turns into a real-life adventure as the unsuspecting team finds itself caught in a dangerous situation.

Akshay Kumar-led Welcome To The Jungle got off to a promising start at the ticket window, earning Rs 14.80 crore on its opening day in India. The comedy continued its run over the weekend and recorded Rs 63.47 crore in its first three days.
The film eventually wrapped up its theatrical run with an India net collection of Rs 130.72 crore. Its India gross stood at Rs 155.62 crore, while the film earned around Rs 31.13 crore from overseas markets. This took its worldwide gross collection to approximately Rs 186.75 crore.
