New Delhi: The controversial Kouch is set to make a comeback one last time with Koffee With Karan Season 9. Now, the new promo of the show has been released,
and KJo plans to end his long-running celebrity chat show with plenty of mystery, gossip and, despite what he says, perhaps a little controversy too.
The latest teaser confirms that Koffee With Karan Season 9 will begin streaming on October 14 on JioHotstar. But instead of revealing the celebrities who will occupy the famous couch this season, Karan has turned the guest list into the show’s biggest guessing game.
Koffee With Karan Season 9 new promo
The promo plays out through a series of phone conversations, with Karan responding to questions about the upcoming season and having some fun with the curiosity surrounding it. Confirming once again that Season 9 will mark the end of the show, Karan says, “You heard it right. It is going to be my last season of Koffee with Karan. I’m not acting, I’m not pretending. It is my last.”
In another exchange, the filmmaker appears to shut down someone’s hopes of finally receiving an invitation to the couch. “Thank you for asking, but I haven’t invited you for 8 seasons, so… I don’t plan to invite you for the 9th,” he says.
Karan also appears to settle one question about the guest lineup. “No, no, no, cricketers are not invited. They are also not coming,” the filmmaker says during another phone conversation in the promo.

The teaser signs off with Karan making a rather cheeky promise about staying away from controversy. “Darling, it’s my last season of Koffee with Karan. Why would I do anything controversial?” he says.
Koffee With Karan expected guest lineup
Several celebrity names have been doing the rounds ahead of the premiere. Salman Khan is among those rumoured to be making an appearance. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, among others, are also rumoured to be on the guest list.
However, none of these appearances has been officially confirmed by the makers so far. Until the guest list is announced, there remains speculation.
