New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that it was time to set bigger goals for the nation that are ambitious and extraordinary. He
observed that it was time to work towards taking the country towards the top three economies, which should be able to lead in every field.
Addressing the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha on the occasion of his completing 25 years both as Gujarat CM and Prime Minister of India, PM Modi expressed confidence that the dream of a developed nation would surely come true.
“This is the time to set big goals for our nation, goals that are extraordinary and ambitious. A better India. A place among the world’s top three economies. An India free from poverty. An India that leads in every field. Whether it is education, entertainment, health and wellness, sports, innovation or technology, the world should look to India. Our goals must be such that the Tricolour rises with pride in every field,” the PM said.
He added, “The dream we are seeing today in 2026 of a developed India will surely come true. There is no reason for India to stop now. A hundred years ago, we were even less than 40 crore; today, we are more than 140 crore. The 140 crore countrymen together will build a developed India by 2047, and we certainly will.
Hailing flydubai pilot Captain Smit Machchhar’s recent efforts in saving passengers in crew embers after he was attacked on air by the co-pilot, he said, “Today, the world is talking about India’s pilots. A day will come when the world will talk about Made in India aircraft. These goals will be achieved through visionary policies and relentless hard work. India may have challenges, but we also have 140 crore solutions”.
“From the Red Fort, I had spoken about ‘Sabka Prayas’.The enthusiasm and zeal needed to take India to new heights conveys just one message: we will do it, We Will Do It. Viksit Bharat at 2047: We Will Do It. Top 3 Economy: We Will Do It. Atmanirbhar Bharat: We Will Do It. Global Manufacturing Hub : We will Do It. Organising Olympic Games: We Will Do It. Stepping into Universe: We Will Do it,” the PM said further.
He observed, “No nation whose people have such confidence coursing through their veins like blood can be stopped. As the head of the government, people regard this 25-year continuous journey as an achievement. But, for me, this is not a matter of personal glorification, nor is it an opportunity for that”.
